The problem is solved: I can now drag any file type (.mp3. With Touch Bar features for MacBook Pro and an intuitive, modern design, it’s easy to learn, play, record. Like paulowinner suggested, I put "Garageband.app" into the trash, launched "App Store.", clicked menu "Store" > "See my account", entered my apple id and password, scrolled down to find "Garageband" (oct 2014), clicked once to display the page about "Garageband", clicked the "cloud/download" button, waited a few minutes (~800Mb), opened "Garageband" (still 10.4.6) and voilà ! In other words, you'd need to sign into the App Store on a computer running macOS Big Sur, 'buy' ('get', since it's free) Garageband on it, and then you should be able to go into your Purchases tab on your older Mac and install the last compatible GB version. GarageBand is a fully equipped music creation studio right inside your Mac with a complete sound library that includes instruments, presets for guitar and voice, and an incredible selection of session drummers and percussionists. Garageband does not respond anymore and I have to kill the process. With GarageBand 10 for macOS, you can open and continue to work on the projects that you created in GarageBand 6.0.5.
When dragging a ".aiff" or a ".wav" file (generated with Audacity), the waiting wheel does not stop turning. As part of the upcoming transition to 64-bit technology in macOS, GarageBand 6.0.5 won’t be compatible with future versions of macOS, starting with the recently announced macOS Catalina 10.15. When dragging a ".mp3" file (generated with Audacity), the music can be more or less recognised, but the speed is at least twice faster than the original, with kind of distorsion/saturation.
